How To Play Grand Prix KO
Each Grand Prix, pick one driver from any of the racing teams.
If the driver you pick completes the Grand Prix, you are through to
the next round where you pick a driver for the next race, however you
can never pick the same driver twice!
Grand Prix KO kicks-off at the start of the Formula 1 season and
ends with the last race of the season or when there is only one
remaining player in the game.
If multiple players make it through the whole of the season, those
players will share the prize pool equally.
Each driver selection must be received at least 1 hour prior to the
race starting. After this time you will not be able to change that
selection. If you do not make a selection you are eliminated. The prizes
are dependant upon the number of entries in each game which is estimated
to last for the duration of the Grand Prix season.
Players are able to change their selection as many times as they
wish up to 1 hour before the start of the race.
If a driver is unable to race (through injury or other reason) a
named replacement will be available instead. If you have already picked
a driver that is then unable to race you will not be able to select the
replacement is named for him.
If no drivers complete the race then SportingKO will consider that
race will be declared void and all players will move onto the next round
and all driver selections for that race will be voided and valid for
re-selection.
In the event that a race is abandoned then SportingKO will consider
that race will be declared void and all players will move onto the next
round and all driver selections for that race will be voided and valid
for re-selection.
The race position of the driver is not important, only that they
complete the agreed number of laps (total number of laps may be reduced
during race by officials). A driver is defined as completing a race by being
given a finishing position as declared on www.formula1.com
The last person in wins the Jackpot with multiple runners up
dependant upon the number of players taking a share of the prize pool.
See how easy it is to win from last season's example below:
Round 1
Player A picks Lewis Hamilton to complete the Malaysian GP - Hamilton
finishes the race. Player A therefore survives to the next round.
Round 2
Player A cannot pick Hamilton as he already chosen him so picks Jenson
Button to complete the Japanese GP - Button finishes the race. Player A
survives to the next round.
Round 3
Player A cannot pick Hamilton or Button and so picks Vettel to complete
the Austrian GP - Vettel retires on lap 10 so Player A is eliminated.
Round 4 onwards
The remaining players continue each week until the last man standing
takes the Jackpot!
